South Sudan freight forwarders join regional meeting as Juba prepares to host Global Logistics Convention

The president of the South Sudan Freight Forwarders Association (SSFFA), Deng Daniel, and other association officials participated in meetings of the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA), including its regional board meeting and annual general meeting in Nairobi.
The meetings, held at the Four Points Hotel in Nairobi, brought together FEAFFA board members and representatives of specialized committees to discuss challenges affecting freight forwarding operations and the wider logistics industry across the East African Community.
Among the key issues discussed was an amendment to the FEAFFA constitution. Board members and representatives approved the final draft of the proposed amendments and endorsed the changes, which are intended to expand the regional body’s operations.
The meeting also approved FEAFFA’s 2026 financial budget and reviewed its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
FEAFFA commended SSFFA for conducting its inaugural certificate course in customs and logistics professional training at the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA).
The regional body also reaffirmed its support for the seventh edition of the Global Logistics Convention, which will be hosted by SSFFA in Juba, South Sudan.
Daniel briefed the annual general meeting on preparations for the convention, scheduled for Aug. 25-27, 2026, at the Pyramid Continental Hotel in Juba.
SSFFA said it remains committed to implementing FEAFFA’s core principles, including strengthening professional training for clearing agents through collaboration with the SSRA. The association said the initiative is aimed at improving professionalism, regulatory compliance and efficiency in the freight-forwarding sector.
FEAFFA is a regional association representing freight forwarders and advocating for fair logistics business practices, professional standards and the growth of the freight industry across East Africa.
