British Ambassador Meets South Sudan Cabinet Affairs Minister
British Ambassador to South Sudan David Ashley paid a courtesy visit to Cabinet Affairs Minister Martin Elia Lomurö in Juba on Friday, as the two sides discussed bilateral relations and preparations for the country’s upcoming political and electoral processes.
The meeting focused on strengthening relations between South Sudan and the United Kingdom, according to a statement from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
The officials also discussed the forthcoming Inter-Party Dialogue, scheduled for Sept. 24, 2026, and preparations for the December 2026 general elections.
The meeting comes as South Sudan prepares for the elections and efforts to advance dialogue among political parties.
