Thuri Community Unveils New Leadership Structure to Drive Governance and Development

The Thuri Community has formally unveiled a new leadership framework designed to strengthen local governance, foster peacebuilding, preserve cultural heritage, and accelerate socio-economic development.

The executive appointments were announced on Monday, August 10, by Community Leader David Ayaga Aburko, following consultations with elders, sub-clan representatives, intellectuals, youth leaders, and women’s groups. The structure integrates administrative officials, technical advisors, scholars, media personnel, and traditional leaders.

“This expanded body brings together expertise across governance, culture, and development to serve our people effectively,” the leadership statement noted. All appointments take effect immediately.
