Western Bahr el Ghazal Residents Urged to Collect Processed Nationality Certificates
The Directorate of Civil Registry, Nationality, Passports, and Immigration (DCRNPI) in Western Bahr el Ghazal State has received 7,372 newly processed Nationality Certificates.
The State Director of DCRNPI, Brigadier General Achien Yor Jok, is urging residents across all three counties—Wau, Jur River, and Raja—to go to the state immigration office in Wau to collect their official documents.
In particular, the appeal extends to residents living in various payams, including, Raja centre,Bora Madina, Deim Zubeir, Dejalab, Deleba, sopo and yabulo.
Brigadier General Jok highlighted that the office is currently managing a massive backlog, with more than 10,000 Nationality Certificates remaining uncollected since 2013.
He appealed directly to applicants to retrieve their documents to help clear the state registry’s archives.
He added that the Collection requirements to ensure a smooth verification and collection process, applicants must present, original application or any Valid form of identification.
Immigration authorities are calling on all affected citizens to act promptly to help prevent further administrative delays and streamline the distribution of these essential nationality documents.
