Tecno South Sudan in partnership with MTN South Sudan have launched the Camon 40 smart phone bring excitement to local consumers in Juba, the capital of South Sudan.

The launching ceremony which took place on May 14 at the offices of Juba Echo Television brought buzz and excitement to the market, as the golden slick phone was unveiled for the first time in the youngest nation.

Henry Khamis, Tecno brand manager in South Sudan told Juba Echo, that theTecno Camon 40 is more than just a device but an intelligent companion built for a modern lifestyle with a cutting edge camera that captures astounding photos in any lighting condition.

“The Camon 40 lets you turn everyday moment into extra-ordinary memories. It’s long lasting battery ensures you get connected throughout your day while it’s slick economic design fits perfectly into your hands,” Khamis said while describing the features on the phone.

“We are not just a smart phone company; we are a global force for change in mobile technology,” he said, adding Tecno has grown from visionary startup into one of the most trusted and fastest growing smartphone brands across Africa, Middle- East and South -Asia.

Khamis noted what makesTecno different from other brands is the deep connection with local consumers.

“We do not just sell phones, we deliver innovation, high quality and affordable solutions to meet the unique needs of every market,” he disclosed.

The phone has golden thickness, golden weight and golden ratio and helps capture clear photos taken during speedy actions. In addition, this phone is water proof as it’s protected when dipped in water.

Michael Amou, managing director Techno South Sudan said they have unveiled a product of high quality which is affordable to end users in the local market.

“We are proud to continue empowering users with high quality, affordable Camon 40 series. With Tecno you do not just get a smart phone but you join a movement that believes in bigger dreams and you stay connected without limit,” Amou said.

The first Tecno smart phones were introduced in the South Sudan market in 2012.

Amou said they plan to extend the smart phones to the 10 states and three administrative areas.

Adam Stanley, digital device manager for MTN South Sudan said the Tecno Camon 40 smartphone comes with free MTN internet bundles for a period of three months.

“When you buy the Camon 40, the first time you put your simcard in the phone you get 3 GB internet bundles for free from MTN for a period of three months,” Stanley said.

Khamis Waiwai, representative of MTN South Sudan said they are committed through their partnership with Tecno to ensure that every household is connected to the internet.

“We are focusing on connecting different institutions to the digital world, one of the areas we have achieved is making sure that we have our connect stores across the country, and with partnership with Tecno we will ensure that they are able to have all the stocks across the country,” Waiwai said.
