Global Voices Organization Engages New Site: Goroyo 2 Community Members through male companion mentorship program to combat Gender-Based Violence

The Global Voices Organization has launched initiative at the Goroyo 2 site, partnering directly with local community members to create and lead a powerful male champions mentorship campaign addressing social and gender-based violence (SGBV).

Speaking during the meeting the deputy Director for Special Protection Unit, LT colonel Mila EluzaI urge community members to report all cases of social gender based violence directly to the police.

He emphasized that timely reporting is essential for protecting survivors and ensuring accountability. He highlighted that this grassroot effort focuses on educating the community, challenging harmful norms, and promoting safe spaces for dialogue.

Community members are utilizing local forums, workshops, and culturally relevant messaging to drive change from within.

The campaign aims to empower residents with knowledge about prevention, support systems, and the rights of survivors, fostering a safer and more equitable environment for all.
