Central Equatoria Governor Establishes State Food Security Office

Central Equatoria State Gov. Emmanuel Adil Anthony has issued an order establishing a State Food Security Office to coordinate efforts aimed at strengthening food security across the state.

The Governor issued Gubernatorial Order No. 41/2026 establishing the office, followed by Gubernatorial Decree No. 52/2026 forming a committee to oversee its operations.

The decree, issued under Article 99, Sub-Article (2)(a) of the Transitional Constitution of Central Equatoria State, 2012, as amended, took effect Sept. 1, according to the Office of the Governor.

The newly appointed committee is chaired by Fred Laku Raymond, with Bullen Data Charles serving as deputy chairperson.

Emmanuel Laku Sule was appointed executive director, while Bida Lokoyome and Augustino Laku Gbulu will serve as members.

The Governor congratulated the newly appointed officials and wished them success in their new assignments.

The orders and decree take effect from the date of their signature by the governor, according to the Office of the Governor.
