Adil Calls on SPLM Cadres in Wonduruba to Unite Ahead of 2026 Elections
Central Equatoria State Governor and SPLM Chairperson Emmanuel Adil Anthony has called on party cadres and residents of Wonduruba Administrative Payam to remain united and peaceful as the country prepares for the December 2026 general elections.
Adil made the remarks on Saturday while closing an SPLM cadres training session in Wonduruba, where he commended party members for their efforts in mobilization and membership registration.
He encouraged eligible citizens to participate in the upcoming voter registration exercise and urged SPLM cadres to prepare for the elections peacefully.
Adil conveyed greetings from SPLM Chairman Salva Kiir Mayardit and urged residents to remain prepared for the electoral process.
The SPLM Chairperson also called on the Wonduruba community to peacefully welcome people returning to the area and those willing to join the peace process.
He urged residents not to harass or intimidate returnees but instead to introduce them to traditional leaders and relevant government authorities to facilitate their reintegration into the community.
SPLM State Secretary Ann Kaku Samson said the training focused on recruitment, mobilization, capacity building, resource mobilization, ethics, management and strengthening the party’s cadre base.
The training also included the introduction of newly recruited SPLM members, including Paul Lako, formerly associated with the SPLM-IO, and Nelson Yanga from the National Patriotic Party.
Meanwhile, Wonduruba Administrative Payam Chairperson Towongo Stephen reaffirmed the area’s support for the SPLM and endorsed Salva Kiir Mayardit as the party’s flag bearer.
The cadres training formed part of the SPLM’s preparations for mobilization and participation in the December 2026 elections.
