By Michael Tapeng Ohure

Number One Citizen Newspaper, one of South Sudan’s daily publications has resumed operation after it was closed by the Media Authority.

“The suspension was lifted on Friday by the media authority so we have just started operating today,” the paper’s Managing Director Maurice Dogga told Juba Echo by phone today.

The regulator also agreed to the proprietor of the paper, Stella Kiden Mandela to be the editor in Chief.

Number One Citizen was closed by the Media Authority on December 6 last year over what it called “non-compliance.”
