Central Equatoria State Gov. Emmanuel Adil Anthony has thanked the government and people of Türkiye for their continued support for development initiatives in the state, including a vehicle donated to the state’s Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development.

Adil expressed his appreciation during a handover ceremony attended by the state’s Minister of Cooperative and Rural Development, Emmanuel Khamis Richard.

The Governor commended the Turkish ambassador to South Sudan and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, known as TİKA, for their support, particularly in agriculture and rural development.

Adil said cooperation with Türkiye could help Central Equatoria benefit from Turkish expertise in modern agricultural practices and strengthen value chains for products such as coffee and cocoa.

The Turkish ambassador emphasized the importance of implementing small-scale, high-impact projects that directly benefit farmers and rural communities.

Adil said the donated Hilux four-wheel-drive vehicle would strengthen the ministry’s operational capacity, particularly for field activities and engagement with rural communities.

The Governor reaffirmed Central Equatoria’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Türkiye and ensuring that cooperation produces tangible benefits for the state’s population.

The Central Equatoria State Government said the partnership would continue to focus on practical development initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and supporting rural communities.
