South Sudan Parliament Speaker Calls for Stronger Global Education Partnerships at Korea Forum

The Speaker of South Sudan’s Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA), Rt. Hon. Joseph Ngere Päciko, has called for stronger international cooperation in education while addressing the 12th University Education Leaders Forum in Busan, Republic of Korea.
The forum, organized by the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) as part of the 2026 International Youth Camp, brought together ministers of education, university leaders, professors, and policymakers from 20 countries to discuss the role of education in shaping future generations.
Speaking at the forum, Rt. Hon. Ngere Päciko described education as a vital pillar for achieving sustainable peace and shared prosperity. He said the gathering of global education experts and leaders offers renewed hope for young people by inspiring positive change and transforming lives.
The Speaker urged the International Youth Fellowship to expand global partnerships in teacher training, skills development, and student exchange programs to strengthen education systems and create more opportunities for youth.
He also said South Sudan is drawing inspiration from the Republic of Korea’s mindset education model, which focuses on building discipline, character, and responsible leadership among young people.
The 12th University Education Leaders Forum is being held under the theme, “A Changed Mind, A Changed Life, A Changed World.”
