SSRA Holds Budget Preparation Workshop for 2026/2027 Financial Year

The South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA) on Tuesday launched a three-day workshop at its headquarters to prepare the Authority’s annual budget for the 2026/2027 Financial Year.

The workshop brought together Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, Heads of Departments, Budget Focal Persons, and Technical Officers to strengthen their understanding of the standard procedures and processes for preparing the Authority’s annual budget.

The training aims to ensure that all departments have a common understanding of the budget preparation process, including the required supporting documents, implementation timelines, the responsibilities of each office, and the Budget Department’s role in coordinating, reviewing, controlling, and consolidating the Authority’s budget.

According to the SSRA, an effective and well-prepared budget will strengthen expenditure control, improve revenue performance, enhance accountability, reduce unbudgeted commitments, and promote the efficient use of resources in line with the Authority’s strategic objectives.

The workshop is expected to improve coordination among departments and support the Authority’s efforts to enhance public financial management and revenue administration.
