Ministry of Health Deploys Supervision Teams Nationwide to Strengthen Healthcare Delivery

The Ministry of Health has deployed supportive supervision teams across South Sudan as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve the implementation of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP).
The nationwide mission, led by the Ministry’s Project Management Unit (PMU), is assessing the quality of health services while monitoring the progress of HSTP activities in health facilities across the country.
The teams have been dispatched to Yirol, Kapoeta, Aweil, Yambio and several other locations, with additional counties expected to be covered in the coming days.
According to the Ministry, the supervision exercise aims to evaluate health service delivery, engage frontline health workers and local authorities, identify operational challenges, and provide technical support to improve the performance of health facilities.
The assessment is also expected to provide the Ministry with a comprehensive picture of the country’s health sector, helping to inform policy decisions and strengthen the implementation of ongoing health programmes.
The Ministry of Health said the initiative reflects its commitment to building a stronger, more resilient health system that ensures equitable access to quality healthcare services for all South Sudanese.
The Health Sector Transformation Project is one of the government’s key initiatives aimed at improving health service delivery and strengthening the country’s healthcare system through enhanced oversight, accountability, and capacity building.
