South Sudan Defeats Congo, South Africa and Uganda advance.

In a thrilling match at Juba National Stadium, South Sudan defeated Congo 3-2 in Group K to earn their first points of the qualifying campaign.

The team at home displayed determination, coming back from a 2-1 disadvantage to clinch a vital win and ignite huge celebration among the home supporters.

Uganda is currently at the top of Group K with 10 points, while South Africa is in second place with eight points. South Sudan’s win earns them three points, placing them right behind Congo with four points.

Uganda Cranes secured their spot in Africa Cup of Nations 2025 with two matches remaining. This was verified Thursday evening following South Sudan’s 3-2 victory against Congo at Juba Stadium.

Uganda’s qualification to AFCON was confirmed with ten points, along with South Africa, whom they will face at Mandela National Stadium on Friday.
