Presidential Advisor on National Security calls for Peace in Sudan

The presidential Advisor on National Security, Tut Gatluak Manime is calling on Sudanese fighting parties to bring an end to the violence in Sudan. Tut Gatluak Manime was speaking to the faithful during Eid-Al-Adha where thousands had gathered for the prayers at Midan Zahara in Juba on Wednesday.

“Our people in Sudan, now you are killing each other, there are no reasons for fighting your brothers and sisters. If Sudan is not in peace, it means South Sudan is not in peace. All parts of Sudan need peace,” he said.

Tut Gatluak says South Sudan stands ready to help find peace for Sudan.

“We know the effect of war, as South Sudan government we need peace in South Sudan, we do not want to get back to war. As brothers and sisters, we need to sit down and bring peace,” he echoed.

He promised the government would work together with the Sudanese parties to bring peace to the two countries.

“We as the government of South Sudan are working to bring peace to Sudan. This message comes from the president of the Republic of South Sudan,” he said adding. “As the government of South Sudan, we promise to bring peace to Sudan. There is no difference between Sudan and South Sudan, we are all brother and one nation.”

He called on South Sudanese people to give helping hands and support the refugees fleeing Sudan’s conflict.
