CEPO Welcomes the roll out of South Sudan Transitional Justice

The Executive Director for Community Empowerment, Progress Organization Edmond Yakani welcomed the roll out of the South Sudan transitional justice adding that the enshrined in chapter 5 of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic South Sudan through the collaboration of the African Union and the Revitalized Government of National Unity with support of their partners and funders.
” Transitional justice will be successful in South Sudan if the principals of the parties signatories to the R-ARCSS avail fully and non-doubtful trust and confidences to the process with adequate and timely financing otherwise the transitional justice may face the same dragging of feet witnessed in the other process such as the transitional Security arrangements and the financial and economic reforms among others,”
He added that the transitional justice resources Centre will immediately roll out public awareness on the transitional justice following this roll out of the transitional justice engagement in South Sudan dated 15th May, 2023 in Juba. CEPO will be driving women and youth platforms for transitional justice, victim centered And meaningful participation of persons with disabilities. Mr Yakani stressed
