Security forces in Pibor Town have seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs during a joint operation targeting drug dealers and users.

The operation resulted in the arrest of several suspects found in possession of substances including marijuana, tramadol and crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice.”

The seized drugs were publicly destroyed in Pibor Town under the supervision of the Chief Administrator, H.E. Gola Boyoi Gola, who visited the joint operation headquarters to assess the security operation.

Chief Administrator Gola expressed concern over the growing involvement of young people in drug abuse, warning that the spread of illegal substances poses a serious threat to the community and the future of the youth.

The Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Pibor also warned drug dealers and users to stop their activities, saying security forces will continue pursuing and prosecuting those involved in the illegal drug trade.

Chief Administrator Gola urged security agencies to strengthen surveillance and intensify efforts to dismantle networks responsible for trafficking drugs into Pibor.
