South Sudan, United States Discuss Bilateral Ties, UNGA Preparations and Ebola Response

South Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Amb. Dr. James Pitia Morgan, met with the United States Ambassador to South Sudan, H.E. Michael J. Adler, on Thursday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation on key areas of mutual interest.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), efforts to respond to the Ebola situation, travel restoration, and other shared priorities between the two countries.

The discussions also explored ways to deepen cooperation and maintain close coordination on issues of common concern.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained engagement, constructive dialogue, and continued partnership aimed at advancing the longstanding relationship between the Republic of South Sudan and the United States.

The meeting is part of ongoing diplomatic engagements by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen international cooperation and promote South Sudan’s foreign policy priorities.
