President Salva Kiir Mayardit received Vice President of Gender and Youth Cluster,Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior on Monday at the State House, where they discussed the current political and socio-economic developments within the nation.

During the meeting, Vice President Nyandeng briefed the President on her recent official visit to Uganda, where she held talks with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Her meeting with Museveni in Kampala deliberated on strengthening bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest between the two countries, besides issues of regional peace.

The President and VP Nyandeng reiterated their unwavering commitment to working together to move the country towards the trajectory of peace, unity and progressive development.

The meeting further highlighted the importance of building internal cooperation among leaders and citizens alike to consolidate national peace and South Sudan’s regional diplomatic relations.
