Journalists’ union launches media awards

The Union of Journalists of South Sudan (UJOSS) has launched the second journalism awards.

“Journalists should submit stories for competition between October 1st. 2024 to November 10th. 2024” Said Oyet Patrick Charles, UJOSS Chairperson.

The awards are planned for November 30th. 2024.

UJOSS says each journalist is free to submit a maximum of two stories for the competition which has ten categories.

The categories are; health, economy and business, climate change, food security, humanitarian, gender and disability inclusion, democracy and election, constitution-making process, human rights and peace then culture, youth and sport.

UJOSS says the awards are supported by UNESCO, JICA and the United Nations Communication Group.
