The Minister of Justice presents convention against narcotics in parliament
The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs has presented before the parliament the international Convention against Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988 for deliberation. The conventions centered at providing legal mechanisms for enforcement, a comprehensive measure against drug trafficking, money laundering and diversion of precursors chemicals. The International Convention is aimed at combating drug trafficking globally and also provides a comprehensive framework for cooperation among nations to address the challenges posed by illicit drug trade and related activities.
