River Jordan graduates over 40 pupils in Juba
River Jordan Academy – a fastest growing nursery and primary school in Juba has graduated its first badge of 42 pupils and officially launched the learning institution on Sunday in Lologo II, Central Equatoria State
In the related development, the school also announced the results of the pupils. The results pose a significant performance of the learners.
Founded in 2018 and established in 2022, the learning center was initiated to meet the learning needs of the South Sudanese and their aspirations through development of their abilities and aptitudes.
Speaking during the event in Lologo II on January 29, Mr. Peter Malir Biar, the school director who is also the founder, affirmed that the academic institution was determined to provide quality and affordable education for all South Sudanese without obstacles.
“I feel that there is a need to contribute to nation building and education is one of the needs. The school is set to improving the quality of education in South Sudan and this is one of the reasons, it was initiated. So, the learning institution will continue to prepare students for future as it provides quality of learning that we want in the country,” he explained.
According to Malir, a team of well trained and professional teachers are eager to mentor and train the pupils in all courses.
The school operates from nursery school to primary seven (7).
Tereza Yar, a parent whose child graduated and also deputy chairperson of the Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) of the school, appreciated the teachers for their commitment to helping the needy.
“When the school commenced the studies last year, people thought it was a joke but now it is impacting on the students,” she said.
“Graduating this badge is a success and even the performance of the students present positive feedback this learning institution will make the students excel,” she concluded.
The PTA Deputy encouraged the parents to take education very seriously
“I hereby reiterate my call for access to education by parents. The children need to be taken to schools so that they become a future leader. Education is a key to success,”
Over 5,000 people among other dignitaries attended the occasion. The event was conducted in partnership with Christian Agency for Peace and Development (CAPaD), a youth faith-based national organization operating in the country.
