The government of Northern Bahr El Ghazal state on Wednesday launched the “Back to learning Campaign” campaign aimed to boost school enrolment.
Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal state, Tong Aken Ngor during the launch held at Freedom Square in Aweil town encouraged parents to enroll their children in school.
“Education is the only key to successful life. I also appeal to adult people to enroll in adult education because there is no age limit to education,” Tong said.
“We resolved to transform education, this includes screening of the teaching workforce so that the government can employ qualified teachers who can deliver quality education services to our children in all learning centers in the state,” he said.
Tong said that his government is immensely proud of the performance of students who sat for the certificate of secondary education and primary leaving exams.
He said that they are prioritizing to renovate some of the schools in the state to improve conditions for learners and teachers.
