VP Abdelbagi warns Primary eight pupils against cheating exams
Vice President for Service Cluster Hussein Abdelbagi Akol on Monday warned pupils sitting Primary Leaving Examination to desist from examination malpractices.
He said these remarks prior to launching the start of PLE exams at Malakia Primary School in Juba.
“You must not cheat while taking and by God’s grace and willing I look forward to attending the opening of your secondary examination in the next four years,” Abdelbagi said
He disclosed that the ministry of general education and instruction has a zero-tolerance policy towards dishonesty and cheating related to exams.
A total of 60,714 pupils, including 26,209 females and 34,505 males from 1,438 schools are sitting for their final exams.
The candidates started with the Religious Education exam which will be followed by Science, English, and Social Studies and end with Mathematics on February 17th.
Abdelbagi urged pupils to display honesty and integrity while writing their exams.
“You have worked hard to reach where we are today, you have studied and you are now ready to sit for your exam, remember to display honesty and integrity while climbing your academic journey.”
He hailed parents for grooming their children to love education.
“I take this opportunity to thank parents whose children are sitting today for Primary Leaving Examinations. You have guarded and bought your children to love education,” Abdelbagi said.
Awut Deng Acuil, Minister of General Education and Instruction encouraged the pupils to score good marks in their final exams so that they can be promoted to secondary school.
“You have been in this process for the last eight years and now this is your final destination where you will have your exams and move to the next level,” Awut said.
