Unity state rolls out Covid-19 booster vaccines
The Unity state ministry of health said it has rolled out Covid-19 booster vaccines to about 104,515 people in seven counties.
Stephen Nyieth Duoth, the Acting director general in the ministry of health said on Friday they are rolling out vaccination Koch, Rubkona and Guit, Leer, Mayom and Mayendit and Panyijiar counties as well as Ruweng Administrative Area.
“The state ministry of health has officially declared Covid-19 booster vaccination campaign for two weeks in greater Unity state and neighboring Ruweng Administrative area,” Duoth told Juba Echo in Bentiu.
He added that the purpose of carrying out Covid-19 booster vaccination will support those who were earlier vaccinated against Covid-19.
“If you were vaccinated, you still need to receive the booster doze to support the previous vaccine that you have received; the booster doze is safe and will protect you from getting Covid-19,” Duoth said.
