UNDP donates vehicle, ICT equipment to Ministry of Finance
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Thursday handed over a vehicle and ICT equipment to the Ministry of Finance and Planning to strengthen its digital capacity.
Dr. Samuel Doe UNDP, the UNDP Resident Representative in South Sudan said the equipment includes three large printers and 26 computers that can be used to ease the aid management system.
“The equipment includes 3 large printers, 26 computers, and a saver that can be used for Aid Information Management,” Doe told journalists during a handover ceremony in Juba on Thursday.
Doe added that the equipment will make the work of the Aid Coordination Department easier.
“We believe and hope that this equipment and a vehicle will be used to further enhance and strengthen government leadership on its coordination,” Doe said.
Arop Nuoi Arop, Acting Undersecretary for Planning in the Ministry of Finance hailed UNDP for the in-kind support.
“We are very happy for the support of the Aid Coordination Unit, and this one will enable the aid coordination unit to work hard with partners to get data on time,” Arop said.
