SSRA Ad Hoc Board Committee Reviews Governance and Financial Performance
The South Sudan Revenue Authority’s Ad Hoc Board Committee has concluded a strategic review session focused on strengthening institutional governance, fiscal accountability and operational efficiency ahead of the 2026-27 fiscal year.
The committee, chaired by Biel Jock Thiec, met Monday at the SSRA headquarters in Juba to review key strategic, financial and governance matters affecting the revenue authority.
During the session, the committee reviewed and endorsed the proposed board calendar for the 2026-27 financial year as part of efforts to strengthen strategic planning and oversight.
Members also examined the Revenue Performance Report for the 2025-26 financial year and the Budget Execution Report to assess the authority’s revenue performance and implementation of its financial plans.
The committee further reviewed the proposed SSRA budget and key internal control frameworks, including the Internal Audit Charter and the Board Audit and Risk Management Charter.
The committee said policy recommendations and governance frameworks developed during the session will be submitted to the full SSRA Board of Directors for consideration and approval.
The review is expected to strengthen accountability, improve financial management and enhance the operational performance of the revenue authority.
