SPLM cadres to be sent for training in South Africa

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) said it will send some of it’s cadres in September to undergo training on information sharing in South Africa.

“We came from South Africa where we attended BRICS meeting, we have requested to have training of cadres of SPLM in South Africa from September, and we are also going to send members of the women league to South Africa for training on information sharing,”Bol Makueng, the SPLM secretary for external affairs told journalists on Wednesday at Juba International Airport.

BRICS is forum for emerging economies that includes Brazil, Russia, India and China and South Africa.

Makueng said South Sudan hopes to be a member of the BRICS forum that he said is about promoting multi-mutualism, rapid growth and sustainable development.

The SPLM party participated in the BRICS meeting held between July 18 and July 20 in South Africa under the theme: “BRICS and Africa, partnership for mutuality, accelerated growth, sustainable development and inclusive multilateralism”.

“We are going to work on it (MoU) with South Africa in the next few days, BRICS is a forum of equals, and a forum for economic development,” Makueng said.

He added described SPLM as a Pan African party that will contribute to the development of the nation.
