South Sudan’s president Sacks Foreign Affairs Minister

South Sudan’s president Salva Kiir has shown the door to Ramadan Mohamed Abdallah Goc from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Wednesday.
President Kiir appointed Monday Semaya Kumba who was the Deputy Minsiter in the same ministry.
Mr. Ramadan’s sacking comes amid a diplomatic fiasco by the US where South Sudan’s government initially refused to receive a deportee by the name “Nimeri Garang”
South Sudan’s Foreign Affairs Minitry said the person “Nimeri Garang” whom it issued a temporary travelling document to was a Congolese national by the name Makula Kintu.
The US response was revocation of all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and total ban on issuance of new visas to South Sudanese passport holders.
President Kiir did not give reasons for the relief of the minister but many South Sudnaee people believe the move is connected to the deteriorating relations.with the US.
South Sudan’s government has now accepted to admit “Nimeri Garang” who arrived in the country on Wednesday.
