South Sudan to deploy army to clamp down on crime
Authorities in Warrap s and Western Bahr El Ghazal states have agreed to deploy the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces along their border to clampdown on criminals ambushing vehicles.
William Wol Mayom, the Warrap state minister of information said that on Tuesday they resolved during meeting with their counterparts to deploy forces along Thar-kueng and Marial-baai.
He said armed criminals have been ambushing motorists and passengers in Thar-kueng and Marial-baai.
Mayom said dozens of people were killed last week by armed criminals.
He said the soldiers of the SSPDF division 11 and 5 have been deployed to secure lives and properties.
