South Sudan, Sudan discuss bilateral relations ties
President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Tuesday met with a Sudanese delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereign Council Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo where they discussed deepening bilateral relations in the areas of trade, investment and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Tut Gatluak Manime, Presidential Advisor on National Security Affairs, said that the meeting also discussed the security situation along border corridors, as well as mechanisms to explore investment opportunities and foster trade between South Sudan and Sudan.
“We took out the peace files of the two countries and we discussed the issue of the borders concerning the two countries, and the committee’s activities are very important,” Manime told journalists after the meeting on Tuesday in Juba.
Manime also disclosed that the meeting also discussed the security situation along border corridors.
The two leaders also talked about mechanisms to explore investment opportunities and foster trade between their countries.
