South Sudan SRHR Network Reviews Progress, Sets Priorities for 2026/27
The South Sudan Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Network held its quarterly review meeting in Juba to assess progress, strengthen coordination and set priorities for the next phase of SRHR programming.
The meeting, held at YAM Hotel, was organized by the National Ministry of Health in collaboration with the South Sudan SRHR Network, with financial support from the WISH2 Consortium.
Network members and partners reviewed progress made during the second quarter, assessed achievements and challenges, and followed up on commitments from previous engagements.
Discussions focused on membership and coordination, implementation of planned activities and alignment with the network’s annual work plan. Participants also considered ways to ensure that network priorities remain responsive to the sexual and reproductive health needs of communities across South Sudan.
The meeting included a presentation of findings from the SRHR Network Capacity Assessment, which identified areas requiring further strengthening and provided recommendations for improving the capacity and effectiveness of network members.
Participants also held plenary discussions on coordination, advocacy and programming, with the aim of establishing clearer priorities and a more coordinated approach to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The meeting is expected to endorse the Network’s 2026/27 Action Plan, outlining key priorities and activities for the coming year.
The South Sudan SRHR Network said continued collaboration among the Ministry of Health, network members, partners and supporters will be essential to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights across the country.
