South Sudan president sacks Central Bank governor, appoints replacement

South Sudan President Salva Kiir has dismissed the governor of the central bank, Dier Tong Ngor and appointed Moses Makur Deng in his place.
The sacking of Ngor and appointment of Deng were read in a decree on the State run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation on Monday night.
No reasons were given for the changes.
Deng was the Director General for banking Supervision, Research and Statistics at the Central Bank before his appointment to this new role.
In a separate decree, Kiir replaced the first Undersecretary for Finance and Planning, Ucujung Genis Karlo with Simon Kiman Ladu.
Karlo has been transferred to Ministry of Trade and Industry as Undersecretary.
