Presbyterian Church Ready For Ordination In Unity State.

The Moderator of Presbyterian Church of South Sudan General Assembly Rt. Rev. James Ninrew Dong has set foot today in Bentiu IDP camp, Unity state where he will ordain proposed evangelists to elders.

The clergy who urged residents of greater Unity State to promote peace and unity and abandon war minds revealed that, his mission will not only end in Unity State but will also reach other neighboring destinations.

Ninrew said during the church function in Bentiu IDP camp Buffer zone area today, that ordination was not possible in the previous years due to conflict but because of the revitalized South Sudan peace agreement, he is pleased to officiate over the religious ceremony.   .

“I am mainly here to ordain proposed evangelists to elders and the ordination will take place on Friday this Week starting from Bentiu IDP camp, Bentiu town and later extend to Southern Unity, It’s my first time to carryout ordination in Unity State because I am a newly elected Moderator.” He said.

A 42-year old man who lives in Bentiu IDP camp Peter Gatkuoth Makun told Juba Echo that the coming of Presbyterian Church of South Sudan principle boost unity and peace among the different youths’ groups and elderly people.

“The Moderator encouraged youth groups to be peace ambassadors and agents of positive change, according to what I saw in buffer zone today, people really embraced the message of  peace and unity from the Presbyterian chief, and if this gathering continues, there will be lasting peace in Unity State generally.” Makun said  in an Interview with Juba Echo.
