Police concerns over high increased of Boda -boda theft in Juba

South Sudan National Police Services concerns over high increased of death of motorists and theft of boda- boda a common mean of transport in the city by unknown gun men has increased in the last week.
The police spokesperson Daniel Justine Bola have reported that 2 people have lost their lives and 2 other lost their motorcycles to armed gangs.
“There was bid increase in motorcycle robbery,” he said.
Justin said most stolen motorcycle have been sold as spares in the different parts of the country making tracing hard.
He said the issue of theft and death of motorists has become a very common act in the city risking the security of individuals.
“We have recorded many deaths since the beginning of the years,” he said. “The statistics is quarterly, mid- yearly and yearly. The September will show right from January till September. The final one is comprehensive result composed of the analysis, what we have down and all the challenges.”
He however added that security personnel’s are tracing down criminals including a follow- up with former inmates.
“We have some records of the gangs and some who were released after imprisonment. We are following them,” he said.
43 gangs were arrested last year in possession of motorcycles and stolen property by the national security in coordination with the police.
