Over 150 health workers graduate in Northern Bahr El Ghazal

More than 150 health workers have been graduated after completing training supported by local NGO Africa Training Center in Aweil town of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State capital Aweil.
During the graduation ceremony on Saturday in Aweil freedom square, the State Minister of Health Dau Riiny Lual said this third batch of health workers trained for three years at Aweil Health science Institute will go long way in improving health care services.
“Our country is plagued by a lot of diseases, and it is your turn as medical personnel to change the situation, there is nothing that can be done without your support,” said Lual.
Some of the trainees finished studies in midwifery, nursing and Clinical officers.
The minister appealed to the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills gained to deliver effective services to society.
Adut Kiir Bol who completed certificate in midwifery, said she is eager to help mothers deliver safely.
“If you move in the wards you find the pregnant mothers suffering with no one caring for them,” said Kiir.
Africa Training Center, a national NGO recently supported the training and graduation more than 1000 first aid nurses across the state.
