By Kidega Livingstone

Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has urged investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to explore the abundant investment opportunities available in Eastern Equatoria State and South Sudan at large.

In a press statement published on the State Government’s official Facebook page and seen by Juba Echo yesterday, Governor Lobong made the appeal during a High-Level Dinner in Sharjah, UAE.

He described Eastern Equatoria as a “peace-loving region open for investment and international cooperation,” emphasizing that the state is prioritizing development in healthcare, education, road infrastructure, energy, and job creation through strategic investments.

The governor commended the presence of prominent investors at the event and acknowledged the role of the UAE in facilitating such an important meeting.

Her Excellency Sheikha Hend bint Faisal Al Qasimi of the Emirati Royal Family said the dinner aimed at fostering mutual relations and exploring avenues for future collaboration. She thanked Governor Lobong for honoring the invitation and praised his commitment to building international partnerships. Sheikha Hend also reiterated her interest in strengthening ties that could bring sustainable development and shared prosperity.

The event brought together distinguished investors and business leaders from key sectors including energy, information technology, infrastructure, construction, and education. It provided a platform for networking and laying the foundation for potential partnerships.

This marked the second official meeting between Governor Lobong and Sheikha Hend.
