Lawmaker warns against planned protest to oust South Sudanese leaders

A group, the People’s Coalition for Civil Action has said it plans to stage a protest on August 30 with the aim of forcing the leadership in the country out of office.
The protest would seek to denounce President Salva Kiir and his First Vice President Riek Machar and demand they let go of the leadership of the country to other people.
They blame the duo for leading the country into war, stagnating development, condoning massive corruption and dictatorship.
The government is however insisting its working out a peace agreement that would return South Sudan on the path of democracy, development and sustained peace and security.
Gen. Salva Mathok Gengdit, a member of parliament said the planned protest should not be undertaken because it would seek to disorganise the country other than solve its problems.
