Juba City Residents decry high fuel prices

Juba city residents gave an alarm over the increase of current fuel prices in the country.
Simon Uchang, one of a Boda-boda rider , said the increment of fuel has hindered their business, Adding that the current price is 1,500 SSP
“I calling the authority to look into the matter since it’s affecting them so much. It’s not only the fuel “increase but also the dollar rate , which affecting the commodities prices in the market “
A taxi driver Anthony Drani ,raise a concern ,on the fuel increase ,being a taxi driver ,he said it’s affecting his business a lot .since it’s not making profit.
He further said that passenger are not complying with the new boarding fee from “400ssp to 500ssp.”
In which the taxi drivers are facing challenges
Previously, from Gudele to Juba town cost SSP 350 in public transport but currently it is up to SSP 500 which is too expensive,” he said. “My appeal to the government is that they should reduce the prices of fuel and also start refining oil here in the country.”
