Green Climate Fund Executive Director Leads Delegation to South Sudan for Climate Change Initiatives

The Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), along with a technical team, has begun a five-day working visit to South Sudan with the primary objective of engaging in discussions surrounding climate change preparedness, mitigation, and adaptation strategies. The delegation aims to explore potential funding opportunities for climate-related projects that could significantly improve the lives of individuals affected by climate change in South Sudan.
The delegation is expected to hold meetings with government officials and various partners, focusing on the impacts of climate change in South Sudan and how the Green Climate Fund can provide support to both the government and local communities. The goal is to identify actionable solutions that can alleviate the challenges posed by climate change.
