The Federation of Eastern African Journalists (FEAJ) has appointed Juba EchoTV CEO Oyet Patrick Charles as the Vice president for Eastern African Journalists.

The trade union leaders convened in Kigali on Thursday to discuss the future of the regional association.

“In a significant milestone, we rebranded the “Eastern Africa Journalists Association” to the “Federation of Eastern Africa Journalists,” UJOSS Secretary General Majak Daniel stated.

“In a moment of pride for our delegation, the position of Vice President was allocated to us, of which Patrick Oyet was nominated for this critical role, and the nomination was unanimously accepted,”

The event marks a new chapter for journalists in the region as we strengthen our collaboration and advocacy through the FEAJ.
