Bright International College graduated its second batch of students in Bentiu
The College, located within the camp, held a ceremony for 58 students who completed either a two to three-year diploma certificate program.
Bright International College offers programs in health, social science, agriculture, computer information technology, business and management, vocational training, and teacher training. Established in 2016, the college is a registered institution in South Sudan.
Principal Dak Tuol Kier of Bright Star International College informed Juba Echo that this graduation marked the second time the college had graduated students.
Among the 58 graduates, 13 were females, and 45 were males completing various diploma and certificate programs.
Prinicpal Dak stated during the ceremony in Bentiu IDP camp. He expressed hope that the South Sudanese government would provide support for their educational initiative, and emphasize the college’s commitment to empowering the community in Unity State. The graduation ceremony was attended by representatives from the Unity State government, UN peacekeepers from the Ghana battalion, NGO representatives, the chairperson of the Bentiu IDP camp community high committee, county solidarities representatives, and the traditional community Chief.
