Al Wasit Mining Company Explores Energy Investment Opportunities in South Sudan

A high-level delegation from Al Wasit Mining Company, led by CEO Ahmed Ismael Alduma, met with South Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Dams, Agok Makur Kur, to explore potential investment opportunities in the country’s energy sector.

The meeting focused on developing sustainable energy solutions and upgrading critical transport corridors across South Sudan.

According to the Ministry of Energy and Dams, the discussions resulted in a shared interest in formalizing cooperation between the ministry and Al Wasit.

Technical teams from both sides are expected to hold follow-up meetings to refine proposed project scopes, conduct feasibility studies and develop legal and investment frameworks for implementation.

The ministry said the engagement is part of efforts to explore partnerships that could support sustainable energy development and infrastructure investment in South Sudan.
