South Sudan Plane Lands Safely After Dropping Propellor Mid-Flight
A plane aborted its flight midway from the South Sudanese capital Juba after a propeller fell over mid-flight, returning to land safely at the capital, the airport Director General, Kur Koul said.
The cargo plane was headed for Palouch in the northern Upper Nile State when the incident occurred and navigated back to Juba International Airport safely, Kuol said.
“It had two propellors, so the pilot and the crew managed to return to Juba International Airport using the other propeller that remained on the plane,” he said.
No passengers were on the plane and no crew members were injured, Kur said.
