The South Sudan Football Federation has appointed former board member Robert Zachariah as a consultant to its Department of Investment and Marketing.
Zachariah signed his contract Monday, marking his return to football administration after previously serving on the SSFF board.
He thanked SSFF President Francis Amin Michael, the executive committee and vice presidents for entrusting him with the new role.
Zachariah said he intends to contribute to the commercial development of South Sudanese football, with a focus on attracting local, regional and international corporate sponsors through long-term investment strategies.
He said he also plans to expand sponsorship opportunities beyond the MTN-backed Premier League to include the South Sudan Cup, Women’s Premier League and youth competitions, including the under-17 and under-20 divisions.
Strengthening cooperation with media organizations will also be a priority, he said, with the aim of increasing the visibility and commercial value of national football competitions.
Zachariah said establishing a long-term commercial framework would help create sustainable revenue streams across different levels of South Sudanese football.
The appointment comes as the SSFF seeks to strengthen the commercial side of the sport amid the expansion of domestic competitions.
