The South Sudan Civil Society Alliances (SSCSA) strongly condemned the recent attack in Duk County, which reportedly claimed the lives of 17 innocent civilians, including humanitarian workers, and left nine others injured.
“We urge the relevant authorities to conduct a swift, impartial, and transparent investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice”.
“We also call on all parties to respect and uphold international humanitarian law, protect civilians and humanitarian personnel, and guarantee safe and unhindered access for humanitarian assistance to affected communities”.
The group further expressed their appreciation to all humanitarian workers for their courage, dedication, and continued support to the people of South Sudan during these difficult times.
