TECNO Launches Exclusive Premium Shop in South Sudan

By Wek Atak

TECNO has officially launched its first TECNO Exclusive Shop in South Sudan, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion and its commitment to delivering premium smartphone experiences in the country.

The announcement was made by Henry Khamis, Brand Manager for TECNO in South Sudan, who described the launch as a significant step forward for both the company and the local technology market.

“Today, we are very excited to launch one of the best shops in the Republic of South Sudan — the TECNO Exclusive Shop,” Khamis said. “This launch is very important to us because we want to show our customers that TECNO stands for quality and a premium experience.”

Transforming the Local Smartphone Market

Khamis explained that the exclusive shop is part of TECNO’s broader strategy to modernize the smartphone retail experience in South Sudan and position the country competitively within the East African market.

“We want to change the look of the market and demonstrate how South Sudan can compete with other markets in East Africa. This exclusive shop reflects our commitment to premium design, high-quality products, and excellent customer experience,” he added.

Premium Accessories on Display

The TECNO Exclusive Shop features a fully equipped experience zone where customers can interact with the brand’s latest smartphones and accessories. These include smart earphones, smartwatches, power banks, and data cables — all designed and manufactured by TECNO.

Among the highlighted wearables are the TECNO Smartwatch Pro 2 and TECNO Smartwatch 3, both of which are waterproof and designed for everyday use.

Latest Smartphones in the Market

On the smartphone front, TECNO is showcasing its flagship device, the TECNO Camon 40 Premier 5G.

“This is the premium version of the Camon 40 series,” Khamis said. “It is IP68 and IP69 waterproof and can operate underwater up to three meters.”

The device features a 50-megapixel Sony camera and a powerful 5200mAh battery, positioning it among the most advanced smartphones currently available in the South Sudanese market.

Nationwide Expansion Plans

Khamis emphasized that TECNO’s vision extends beyond the capital, Juba.

“We are not only launching in Juba. We are coming to all 10 states of South Sudan. Our goal is to deliver quality services and premium products across the entire country.”

He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to its customers, saying:

“At TECNO, we stop at nothing. We are here to support our customers and deliver quality services. We love our customers.”

Why Customers Choose TECNO

Meanwhile, TECNO promoter Pascalina Kiden Ismail shared why the brand continues to attract customers.

“I promote TECNO because it offers high-quality smartphones with attractive designs and advanced features that customers really appreciate,” she said.

She highlighted the Camon 40 Pro and Spark 40 Pro Plus as particularly popular due to their elegant designs and strong performance.

“The Camon 40 Pro is unique because it is waterproof and has a very high-quality camera. Even when you zoom in, the pictures remain clear. Customers also like that they can connect the phone to their TV at home, which makes it very convenient,” she added.

Strong Partnership with MTN

A representative from MTN, Baiti Haidar, praised the initiative, describing it as a strong and valuable partnership.

“This is a strong and valuable partnership that we share with TECNO. The opening of this shop will further strengthen our collaboration not only in Juba but across South Sudan. We are very grateful for this initiative and remain fully committed to supporting TECNO as it continues to grow its business.”
