The commissioner of Aweil North County Kiir Chan Wol has advised education supervisors and head teachers to work to improve quality of learning in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state.
He was speaking last week at a meeting of head teachers and supervisors held at Gok-machar in Aweil North County.
“Don’t work with hatred in schools. Treat your colleagues well and do not discriminate them based on clans and tribes. Education is the key to life and as County authorities we will see to it that all teachers are served well,” Chan said.
“We know that some of you are volunteers, the national minister of general education and instruction came last month here, it was apparent in her speech that qualified teachers will be recruited through screening exercise,” he added.
Primary schools are set to open for the second term next week.
