Deputy Chairman for chamber of commerce vows to fight for interests of members
The newly appointed first deputy chairperson for the South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture has pledged to push for the interest of the business community across the country.
“I am thrilled to assume my new office and would like to wholeheartedly say, I am eagerly waiting to work for the chamber and make my contribution to this new role,” John Lual Akol, the first deputy chairman told The Dawn in Juba.
“I am prepared to contribute to the work with the chairman and the rest of the team to build upon the successes of the past, and to fulfil the chamber’s mission to support, promote and protect the interest of all South Sudanese citizens and the business community,” he added.
Akol who formerly was the managing director for Etihad Group of companies replaces Losidik Lukak Legge, the current interim chairman.
Legge replaced Benjamin Bol Mel, the senior presidential envoy for special programs as the interim chairman of the chamber of commerce.
