Juba international airport turned into entry point for undocumented immigrants

The Director General for Civil Registry, Nationality, Passport and Immigration Lt. Gen Atem Marol Biar directed on Tuesday immigration officials to curb illegal admission of immigrants at Juba international airport.

 “As immigration, the first role is security and protection, we are the first people responsible for security, some people come without documents and you need to properly check their documents,” Biar said.

He disclosed that undocumented immigrants are being illegally admitted into the country without proper checks.

“Juba is the headquarter of the government and must be protected, anyone should not come. Even criminals may turn Juba into a center of crime, we have to return back people who have no documents,” Biar said.
